eating weeds...

Tomorrow I head 3hrs north to to my first and very longed for upholstery course, finally. I have been looking forward to this soo much and I cant wait to learn. I wonder how difficult it is and if I will learn any tricks. Below are 2 before photos, I look forward to show the after ones.


I also harvested from the garden yesterday for dinner, a big bowl of leaves =) Silverbeet, snow peas, some nettles and an edible weed that I dont know the name of but we have the whole garden full of it! So why not eat it instead!

Here I am

This is what I looked like at the wedding we went to a couple of weeks ago. Marie took the photo and I have played with it a bit. I inherited the dress after my grandmother, apparently it used to be her favourite and I understand why. I love it!

Finally!!!

It did depart on time! Couldnt they have said that straight away instead of keeping me waiting half an hour!

This cant be good...

...still not saying departed and it should have left 30 mins ago, the last train leaves an hour after he arrives to Copenhagen and I really dont want to drive to Copenhagen and back tonight!

Waiting and waiting

I am waiting for my husband to come home again after a weekend in France and hell fest. He will most likely not be a pretty sight to anyone else but me. I cant wait to have him back home again sleeping next to me!

This weekend I went to my grandparents summer house by the sea to have something to do, it was great and I have some photos from there but first I am going to defrost the freezer in the old apartment. The cleaners come on Thursday and they want it defrosted to clean it... But I just want to know that Stephens flight leaves on time before I go. It is refreshing again in 5....4....3....2....1.... and it is 10 minutes past the planned departure time and on the website it still says planned for 20.20. It is supposed to say DEPARTED 20.20! Now I cant leave this chair till I have seen he is off! But still I cant do anything about it. If I go and defrost that damn freezer it wont change anything, the logic of the female brain... =)

Ah well, I guess I am off then, it will be a surprise when I get back if the flight left on time or not. I just have to wait for it to refresh one more time, and one more time, and just one more...

Our own caravan on the honeymoon!

Wedding was great, what a stunning couple! And today we have been to Malmö, we bought a caravan... A tiny bit bigger than we expected and the clutch got to do some hard work backing the thing up the drive way, I hope it will survive.



And yesterday I harvested the first greens from the veggie patch, some young silverbeet which was very tasty in the salad!

Nailpolish - tick!

We are going to a wedding tomorrow and while Stephen is off playing cricket I have watched topgear and done my nails. I am not sure I am happy with the nailpolish though... Maybe I'll go and buy another one tomorrow and redo them.

I am charging my camera batteries and have packed the camera bag, the important stuff. Tomorrow I am packing the rest!

I think it is time for me to delete and archive some old photos soon and cut those 193 GB down a bit... Sometimes a lot of storage is not the best cause I keep everything. It is nice to have a lot of photos but seriously I dont need 25 different angles of fig tree close ups...

Bedtime

It is getting late and I need to go to bed but before I do that I want to thank the Swedish tax office for giving me the tax refund already.

And thank you Malin and Mia for the nice company tonight when my husband is away in business. That sounded very grown up didnt it???

I'm not going bananas

We got three apple trees as wedding presents and one of them has an apple!! But unfortunately they all have some sort of little aphids =( I have sprayed them today with soapy water, I will keep an eye on them to make sure it goes away! I dont think they will die from it but it annoys me! It has been very dry so far this summer and I think that stresses the young trees a bit, making them more receptive to bugs and stuff.

Since Emma Brandt is no more I thought it would be a good idea to change the blog address to something different, like emmalea.blogspot.com or emma.lea.blogspot.com but the first one was not available and the second one was not allowed so I gave up...

emmabrandt will still be, at least in a virtual reality.

I signed the first paper today as Emma Lea, it wasnt that fun though... it was for the car service that cost almost AU$ 1000!!! And there is another one coming up in the form of a new timing belt... And another one in the form of new tyres for next summer...

A car is certainly no way of saving money and I am starting to understand why people want new cars. Not that it is cheaper upfront but it feels better not having to spend a fortune on servicing the damn thing!

Oh, and I have updated my other website, in swedish though but you can at least look at the pictures =)

wow...

I didnt realise it was that long ago! And a lot has happened since! I am now Mrs Lea and I live in a house with my husband, who knows a lot more Swedish and also has a Swedish drivers license!

Who would have thought!?
